David McGregor founded The Financial Position in 2005 after 9 years with KPMG in the small and medium business services division and as a Partner at a medium sized chartered accountancy firm. Gaining invaluable experience in all matters pertaining to the operation of small and medium sized businesses he used the skills learnt in these roles including Accounting, Auditing, FBT and Salary Packaging, GST and Taxation to shape The Financial Position. The name was shortened to FINPOS in July 2011.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Economics, majoring in accounting and Masters of Commerce majoring in professional accounting. Registered as both a Company Auditor and Tax Agent, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia, David is responsible primarily for ensuring a high level of service demanded by clients and government authorities.
Since founding FINPOS, David continues to grow the business through drawing team members in with qualifications, skills and experience to support an enhance the services that are offered. The team includes Registered Tax Agents, taxation and accounting advisors, who ensure the clients' needs, including taxation matters like returns and form lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office are accurate and on time.
Now the business has grown into a respected practice through the success and strength of that team. It has broad experience and coverage across varying industries and financial roles with the unique ability to understand your business structure and its impact on shareholder wealth. The FINPOS team specialises in Small to Medium sized businesses and most importantly is flexible, dedicated and focused on delivering results.
